Some friendships sticks out and this is a true story and also my inspiration for this jewelry piece: This special one is my friendship with Marije Essink who runs the Steve Morse Fan page. I was posting graphite drawings I made of Steve and Marije saw them. She contacted me and invited me to be a member of the fan page. We started chatting online a lot about the music we both love, Steve’s music. We decided to meet for a Deep Purple gig. I was already friends with a band member, so I brought Marije backstage. This was the start of a long friendship and we have been meeting a lot since 2013, for Deep Purple gigs and Flying Colors gigs and also other bands. I started making the Steve Morse Jewelry – with his endorsement of course – and Marije became admin on the official Steve Morse pages. We’re still friends and chat every day almost, me living in Sweden and Marije in Netherlands.
