This piece is inspired by the song ”Tumeni Partz” on the new Steve Morse Band album. It was this title that caught my first attention and gave me inspiration for this piece. I talked to Steve about it and he said it would be cool if I could make something with many small pieces. I had the idea of cutting a silver pick, so I did. If you put the five pieces together the will shape as a pick. When you wear the necklace they will glimmer and tinkle, reminding a bit of a Native wind chime. The surface of the silver has been brushed with a steel brush to give that glimmering shine. And of course – attached to the pick is a piece of guitar string, played by Steve in concert.
